Finn Keane began as a sound engineer in 1996 and only ever dreamed of having his own studio. Following years of touring as a live sound engineer and occasional assistant engineer at Trueform in Spotswood, Finn found ongoing work at Hothouse in St Kilda.

After a detour at Melbourne Recital Centre Finn then found an opportunity to take on a partnership in Head Gap, Preston running the studio with founder Neil Thomason and then Rohan Sforcina and Caitlin Ryan.

Following the devastating fire that destroyed Head Gap in December 2024, Finn found his way as a freelance engineer with a mix room at Jack the Bear’s Deluxe mastering all the while trying to find and create the opportunity for the next studio.

Finn has a passion for sound and for collaborating and encouraging the best performances out of those he works with, and is honoured to have so many clients return to work with him again and again.
